Global Warming is the increase in the average earth's surface temperature. After many years of scientific investigations and real- worldwide observations, global warming became the major sensitive international issue. During my research on this subject, I was surprised to find out countless political and scientific contradictions regarding the matter. In my work below, first of all I would like to give a larger explanation of the global warming concept followed by some scientists’ hypotheses about how to prevent it, then mention numerous scientific disagreements and international political manipulations.
Global warming could be described as the world's surface temperature growth continuous caused by the increase of heat- trapping gases in the atmosphere. Heat – trapping or greenhouse gases (one of them is carbon dioxide) preserve our earth's warmth by trapping radiant sun's energy and preventing it to be re-radiated back into space. However, some scientists are worried that increased greenhouse gases intensity in the atmosphere can trap more heat that will result in environmental disasters. According to the Intergovernmental Panel of Climate Change organization IPCC established in 1988, average earth's surface temperature increased from 0.4 to 0.8 Celsius degrees during the 20th century, particularly throughout the two periods: 1910 to 1945 and 1976 to 2000. Furthermore, international scientific observations confirmed enormous weather alteration effects on the nature – rapidly declining snow cover and ice level in the North Pole, mountain glaciers, increase in the average sea level, rainfall, floods, cloud cover and the extreme weather conditions in different parts of the world. Some scientists forecast that continuous global warming could drastically harm the environment, human health, economy, agriculture, ecosystems, worldwide flora and fauna .Former USA Vice President Al Gore, who was nominated for the Nobel Peace Prize in 2007 for his efforts in highlighting global warming dangers, stated that "If we did not take action to solve this crisis, it could indeed threaten the future of human civilization ". (" Al Gore Quotes 2009 ") . To avoid such a catastrophe, many scientists and environmentalists suggest that along with worldwide governments and businesses making environment saving decisions, individuals must contribute to carbon dioxide discharge reduction by efficiently driving cars and using fuel, reducing waste, reusing, recycling, replacing regular light bulbs with compact fluorescent light (CFL) bulbs, saving electricity, spreading public awareness about the issue, using less hot water and planting trees to make our planet greener. Thomas Lovejoy, the scientist of Smithsonian Institution also stressed humankind’s importance in battling the issue - "The planet is about to break out with fever, indeed it my already have, and we (human beings) are the disease. We should be at war with ourselves and our lifestyles." (" Global Warming Quotes & Climate Change Quotes 2009 "). It sounds very dramatic and frightening. However, some scientists have different opinions about global warming and the human race’s involvement in it. After the award to former US vice president Al Gore and the United Nations Intergovernmental Panel of Climate Change of the Nobel Peace Prize, hundreds of scientists signed the Oregon Petition that Al Gore’s report wasn’t based on real facts or research and it is a complete fraud. A large number of well-known scientists issued statements that the global warming and cooling is a cycle of nature unrelated to human behavior and is caused primarily by the cyclical variations in solar output. Here I would like to cite Jonathan Shell -"We have to offer up scary scenarios, make simplified, dramatic statements, and make little mention of any doubts we may have. Each of us has to decide what the right balance is between being effective and being honest." (Milloy, Steven J. "Kyoto Protocol:Mysticism Undermines Clear Thinking"). However, the mess surrounding the global warming concept doesn’t end here. Skeptics relate scientific disagreements to international political and governmental policies linked to economic growth that could be seriously affected by decreased energy utilization and carbon dioxide emissions reduction. In addition to it, scientists estimated that Arctic land under its ice& snow cover has approximately 25% of the world unexploited gas, oil and other natural resources that could be soon accessible if the global warming continues. This estimation already caused disputes over Arctic territories between leading world countries (Denmark, Russia, Canada, Norway, USA, etc.) and it seems that world leaders completely forgot that “we shall continue to work to protect our environment and our wildlife, as did our forefathers before us. It is our duty, and, if we fail, our children, rightly, will reproach us for squandering an essential part of their inheritance” as once great UAE leader His Highness Sheikh Zayed Bin Sultan Al Nahyan said. (Abed, Ibrahim Al, Paula Vine, and Peter Hellyer, eds. United Arab Emirates Yearbook 2005. London: Trident P Ltd, 2005).
In my opinion, it doesn’t matter if global warming is caused by humankind or solar output. Even if the global warming carbon gases emission theory is wrong, I still believe that we (people) will do the right thing for us and our future generations if we will try to live in a less polluted environment.

Cool cities
Many problems are happening in the big cities when the government is trying to build the cool cities in order to reduce the CO2 that is sorunding the air. A lot of cars, motorbike bus and trucks are causing the increase in the temperature. Japan and Abu Dhabi are some of the counters who are trying to decrease the CO2 because the population is increasing very fast and everyone is using the transportation to reach his destination therefore the CO2 rate are high. Come company in Abu Dhabi are trying to reduce the global warming by making a cool city, In Abu Dhabi the government has spent a lot of money to build this city and they use electric cars, buses and a lot of other things but on the other hand the people in the cool cities they are using bicycles and boats to transport, 90 % of carbon dioxide emitted into the air comes from the buildings and transports. The Japanese people reduce 60% of CO2 by SDCJ Company and this thing helped a lot of people there. These cool cities are helping us to have a batter live and a nice environment for the moment and in the future for our children with no pollution in the air surrounding us. In the UAE, the government is trying their best to help the world deal with the global warming with its serious problems.

Women in China
Traditions affects a lot of women and this appears in China and according to this, one woman kills herself every four minutes. Chinas considered as the only country in the world which has more women suicides more than men and this is not an expectation it’s a fact according to the World Health Organization statistics. Suicide problem has a high rate is rural areas more than in the cities and the reason for this high rate in the rural regions is related to the availability of poisons in the agricultural areas. The head of the Suicide Prevention Project at the Beijing Cultural Development Center for Rural Women said that the particular reason for rural women’s suicide is the fighting between the husband and the wife and the bad relationship between them, which is ended by the wife drinking some poison. There is a famous saying among men; they consider the woman as an animal and they say" marrying a woman is like buying a horse; I can ride you and beat you whenever I like". Of course women will kill themselves and some times they attempt suicide as a way of asking for better treatment from their husbands; they want them to treat them as human beings. Business deals are an important point which it's related to the marriage. Marrying is the biggest issue where traditional attitudes still dominate. There are many marriages considered and operated as business deals by buying the bride and becoming a member of the groom's family. Xu Rong's organization attempts to prevent suicide by providing women with village based supporting groups to discuss their feelings and emotions. Also, this organization has been succesful and there are other successes including a school where young rural women are taught the skills to build lives for themselves. There are many courses such as, cooking, computing and hairdressing as well as classes on marriage laws. According to the city living, the atmosphere of the city life allows the girls to work and to control their lives and have a career, but this does not happen in the villages because they see that it’s a risk and because there are many women who have been sexually abused by their bosses.
The main point:
We see how the Chinese women are suffering in the rural areas because of their husbands and because of the bad treatment from their husbands, so many women attempt to commit suicide.
The opinion:
In my opinion, the government should punish any man who treats any woman in a bad way because the woman is a human being created by God to be beside the man.

Carbon Footprint
In the class today our teacher gave us a site to enter and it asked us many questions about our life and what we are using every day . I found that I was a large consumer of the earth I am living in; as if we had 4.56 planets to support us but we only have one. I think that the way used by the site to figure my carbon footprint is that they ask me a question and then it calculates my percentage with what exists on the earth. Many of my friends have different carbon footprint rates like for example my rate was 3.74 and one of my friends which is Ali measured 3.14 and someone is even less and reached 2.27. Everyone has a different rate depending on his life style; some of them consume a lot of the earth’s contents and some of them almost use nothing. The worst thing in some people is that they use things more than they need; like there is a person who buys a lot of food but eats almost the half; others waste the water on washing cars by spraying the car with water instead of washing by hand for example; others also keep their air conditionsers open for a long time without any usage. Even me; sometimes I use a thing that is not necessary which affects our earth’s resources. All that may reduce the resources of the earth. Each one should think twice before doing anything that concerns the earth because it is not just for you, there are a lot of consumers that want to use it also; and remember don’t live to eat, but eat to live.

An Inconvenient Truth ( Point of a view )
As Byron Fibbs says http://brandonfibbs.com/2006/05/24/an-inconvenient-truth/ , the movie was very will presented and Al Gore’s acting was perfect; I can’t say that he was acting because he talked from his heart in order to convince us with this issue that many people are not aware of it. He was himself, in other words; I found the movie was entertaining and exiting and made me curious to know more about it and about our future. During his presentation he added some jokes to change the audience mood. There were quite enough graphs, charts and true pictures that are related to the earth’s conditions at the moment and in the past. With it Al Gore shows that the global warming is no longer a hypothetical theory. There is evidence for it almost everywhere in the world. “We must decide before it is too late” he said because the earth is going into a very bad situation in the near future. In fact I loved this movie because it turned our faces to a different issue more important than the terrorists and the economy. In the movie he showed us when he travelled from place to place and I agree with that because I think he wants to let us know that he is interested in the global warming and he really will go anywhere to see the situation with his eyes. Al of these points are mentioned by Byron’s review.
On the other hand many people like Scott, http://www.avclub.com/articles/an-inconvenient-truth,3943/ , find that when he talked about his sister when he lost her from lung cancer that it is has nothing to do with the movie but I disagree with them. I find it very important because he is talking about an experience he had lived with. Many people think that this issue is related to the business men and the big companies that aimed to get profit only without thinking in the future, Hello!!! Are you kidding? This a responsibility for all of us and we all involved in it. At the end, I don’t have any bad comment about this movie and I think it is 100% perfect. So I disagree with Scott review.
